Haha, i just want to elaborate more on the memory foam mattress as i can’t forget the feel of sleeping on one. As mentioned in the earlier post, we tried on a full memory foam mattress that was luxurious and comfortable. Brand is Serta, from the United Stated. Costs more than 10k (US$2.9k). Definitely over our budget.

We also tried a variety of other mattresses including full latex ones or those that has a combination of pocket spring with latex or memory foam mattress topper. If cannot afford a memory foam mattress, at least can get a memory foam mattress topper the least .. hahaha.

Brands of mattresses that we have tried - Slumberland, King Koil, DPC, Serta, Getha, Naturatex, Dunlopillo, Goodnite, Tempur, Therapedic, Sealy …

At last, we settled for a Silentnight Splendour King size mattress, which costed us less than RM2000 (US$600). It has a combination of pocket spring and latex top (but with a memory foam top feel). It was one of the best mattress that we tried that was within our budget and better compared to other similar range such as the KingKoil Maharaja.

After the mattress, the next step was to shop for beddings. It wasn’t an easy task as i was quite particular with the thread count and feel of the sheets. We also took in consideration the price of the bedding of course. If you are looking for a exceptionally luxurious bedsheets, you can try to have a look at Pasaya (sold in Metrojaya and they have a flagship store in The Gardens). I immediately fell in love with it but a whole set of bedsheet with quilt cover can easily set you back by around RM1.5k. The set that I saw and feel with was made from a special yarn, SOFIN, which is smaller 8 times than cotton and imported from Japan. It had a really soft feel like pearl .. too bad it was too pricey for me, else i would have run to the cashier and bring a PASAYA home with me .. haiya !
