Year End Holidays Cold Cold Season

well not in Malaysia anyway …
Jingle Bells Jingle Bells Jingle All The Way ! Too bad we dont have the four seasons here but just the tropical type of rain or shine kind of weather. Even during the year end, the temp can easily reach 3o-33c on a very hot day, but it rains a lot as well during the last quarter of the year. I’ve never seen nor touched real snow, just the fake ones in Snow Houses in theme parks. Haha ! I bet its different and the environment, feel will be totally diverse as well.
Ahh i would love to travel to a distant country that snows during the year end holidays. There are many options such as the US and major countries in Europe for example UK, Germany, France - but they are quite expensive, for me anyway. It can easily reach at least RM6-7k (US$2,000) for a say, 5 to 7 days trip to these countries. Nevertheless there are cheaper ‘Snow Country’ alternatives such as South Korea and China, which costs around RM2-4k. (the lower end being China of course and the higher end for trip to Korea).
Then there’s the additional expenses incurred when travelling to these countries. You need to buy winter clothing, good inner wear to warm you up, gloves and also jackets such as Berghaus Jackets, to provide you with durable protection and keep you warm. Ermm, insulation is the word. Imagine me all dressed up thick fake fur jackets, leather boots, gloves, ear protectors and the whole complete kaboodle. I reckon i look like a big furball …..

wow, and all i’m dreaming right now is the weather you’re having! you’re right that buying all the winter clothes can be pretty expensive - there are so many items: hats, scarves, gloves, jackets, fleeces, warm socks, boots, not to mention thermal underwear or anti-cold creams. but it’s also nice to have all these different styles of clothing, long boots, cosy hats and scarves… well, cold winter’s not that bad!
