Da Boss (my son) has recently turned 18 months. He got me a bit worried as his weight didnt go up much. Both my mother and Teh-C said that he has grown taller, which is true as he can now reach the table and grab stuff. He is btw in the medium range for babies his age, in terms of height and weight.

Read The Star today about a 3 year old girl with a 43kg weight. Apparently she takes 3 to perhaps 6 full meals a day and drinks up to 3 packet drinks. The parents are worried about her health and has tried to constrict the daughter to only 3 meals a day but apparently the kid screams when she doesn’t get to it. I don’t get it .. the parents should have in the first place monitor the daughter’s food intake since young. The poor kid is practically obese .. serious. Her weight is even greater than an average teenager.

Brought him for his booster jab today at Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) and guess what? That pediatrician (paediatrician) is pretty good handling it. The doctor played with my son for a while, whilst talking to me and then he told DaBoss that he is going to give him a jab and showed him the needle and syringe. At that point, Da Boss was pretty distracted with the toys on the table, and it hit then and there .. the doc poked the syringe into my son’s arm and he even slowly pushed the syringe. This came as a surpise to me as the past doctor we went usually do a quick “kill” .. lol .. and even then, my son could feel the needle prick and cried. Not all the time but yes, he did cried from taking jabs. But this time, Da Boss didnt even squeeked a peep nor cry. He was slightly blurrish though. Haha!

But one thing about going to SJMC, the queue is quite long if you go late and there seems to be a huge pool of patients waiting in line, and they have like 6 paediatricians in da house.

Moving on, Da Boss is growing up well. His vocabulary is pretty good i would say. He can mimick the sounds we make. Not accurately for all words but darn good i would say. He can say YAKULT very accurately though, as with chair, car, kuku (.. lol ..) and a variety of words. He’s my cute little baby boy. He can kiss better too .. i mean like he can smack his lips when kissing. He’s very active too and a very inquisitive boy. Oh my, lots of work coming my way
