Google PageRank Update & Category Distress

I’ve had this blog for about 6 months now but heck … my google pagerank is still a fumbling zero kosong zilch lingdan 00 ….
I’ve tried my hands at a little bit of SEO but with the yet zero PR, how else can i climb up the PR ladder? Maybe i need a ladder rack. My alexa ranking is rising steadily and perhaps better than some sites with higher PR, but I have been anxiously waiting for the next PR update and as of now, my hopes are still just hopes. Reports online said that the anticipated Google PR Update is one of the longest delayed ever to date. But i read at 5xmom that apparently the PR for some of her blogs have moved - decreased by a level actually and so did some of her blog buddies. So does that mean Google has started to move its PR engine?
About a month back, i tried this future PR forecast tool and guess what, i was super duper happy when the page displayed that this blog WWW.KIREISAN.COM is expected to pick up a PR of 4. That means more chances for me to score the big fish at PPP, SponsoredReviews, TextLinkAds and ReviewMe. But its just a forecast and that means it isnt totally accurate

For those of you who have been coming back to read this blog more than a few times, what category do you think i should place this blog in ? I cover a lot of topics - food, shopping, travel, home & parenting and etc. Its hard to place this blog into a single category but that is what most programs that i sign up for requires me to do. So tell me, what is my category ?
Hie! saw ur post on this matter and your disappointment on the PR update. What I can tell you is that the PR prediction is not working. Mine was predicted for a 4 last time but well, i am still a chicken egg.

Don’t know about how to enhance the blog.. I’m still trying to figure it out myself.. my ratings are pretty awful *sad*

Alistairlihai - PR is PageRank. Its some sort of a ranking system by Google. The more PR you have the better. Popular and rich bloggers have at least PR of 4 and above …
To see PR, google for PageRank. You can install a tool for your browser as well to see PR and Alexa Ranking

Only certain blogs got updated only. None of my blogs are updated and all the people I know don’t have theirs updated also. Heard that Google is going to do away with PR.
Anyway, for the category thing, I usually list mine under lifestyle, that basically covers everything.
It’s been a long time not blog hopping and leave comments. So busy…
