My KL Trip - 1st day

Well, well this is a very outdated post … but better than nothing
In the airplane …
1st meal in KL- Claypot Loh Shu Fan. I’ve always wanted to try this cause its a popular food in KL right now. I had this in da hospital (dont laugh now), no Caesars Palace but it was good, though i couldnt say the same for the fried rice my dad and uncle ate. Dad said no pork thats why not nice …. lol
Went to One Utama to do some shopping. Haiya, it was a very short stop cos dad had to rush back. The mooncake festival at the concourse level in the old block (or was it the new block) and some mooncakes on sale. I know, my picture suck la.
Went down to the lower ground level where Jusco supermarket is located. Cari makanan mar. Guess what i saw .. the Gion from Japan bread. Read this in someone’s blog. The lady was cutting up some for customers to try. I tried a piece. It was ermmm pretty normal la but a quite soft with this buttery taste a bit. Asked the lady manning the stall and she said this bread is made in Shah Alam factory but with butter air flown from Japan. Guess what ? The price is a freaking RM18 for one Gion bread loaf ok. So expensive duh ! Some more made in Shah Alam … hahha
While on the road .. i saw this France Taipei bridal shop. I think this should be the same one in Kuching, except that Kuching branch is newer. This one looks so old leh.
I had my dinner in Subang Jaya that nite in a coffeeshop called Restoran Keck Seng. My ice lemon tea (left). Sweet Sour Pork (right) - quite nice. Crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Left: Salted Egg Sotong. Ahhhh, i absolutely love this. Deep-fried crunchy but not ‘jun’ sotong with salted egg and a hint of curry leaves.
Right:- Kangkung stir-fried with sambal belachan. This was not bad but kangkung not my fav vegetable.
Left: The clear soup with cabbage/kundur that was given to us FOC.
Right:- Fei Chau (Tilapia) with special sauce. Err, the sauce tasted weird.
All in all, i so love the sotong …………. actually, i finished most of it cos my dad and uncle makan sikit nia. Good for me
Well, thats about it. My 1st day in KL. Will try to post more soon … food food food haha !

The dinner costs around RM65 for 4 persons, inclusive of drinks and 4 rice. Not really cheap but not expensive i suppose considering KL’s standard.
