KL Mali

As i type this out, I am now in KL. Yay !

Tomorrow is going to be a really hectic day for me …. because i need to rush from one place to another. Sigh ! Cant tell you what it is now though.

I had Claypot Loh Shee Fun (in hokkien = nigau chu kueh; english = rats tail noodle) for lunch which was my 1st time and it was really delicioussssss .. slurp ! My dad had Yong Chow Fried Rice but sadly that was one sad dish. Not enough ‘wok-hei’ and not enough oil. I can see it when it first arrived on our table.

For dinner just now, we tried this kopi tiam at Subang Jaya which has “chu=chau”, meaning they cook ala-carte chinese dishes according to your order. I managed to order the Salted Egg Fried Sotong, one dish which i wanted to try so much but which wasnt available in Kuching. It was delicious … crispy deep fried ’sotong’ ( in flour batter and stir fried with curry leaves, salted egg yolk and i believe i saw the chef poured some evaporated milk as well. Its like the saltier version of dry butter sotong. If only i know how to cook this dish. But if i really know how, then i will surely win some trophies :P Other dishes we had were sweet sour pork, stir fried kangkong belacan and tilapia with sambal.
