What Diapers Do You Use For Your Baby

I am a parent of a lil baby boy, who is a couple weeks shy from reaching one year old. My boy is still using diapers, but occasionally uses cloth napkin when he is at his paternal grandma’s place.

From when he was just a newborn, my boy has been using diapers. Reason, easy to clean and can absorp and last better better than napkin. I know some people who prefers to use napkin, saying that it is better for his bone (leg and pelvic) structure and prevents rashes. This is more especially true for girls cos you dont want to have your daughter with legs apart that look as if … you know what i mean.

Okay, so if you have a baby boy or girl or bro or nephew etc etc, what diaper brand do you or they use. For me, I’ve tried 4 types of diaper brands so far. In the hospital, my baby used Pet Pet. We continued using Pet Pet for about 2 months or so. Then I tried Drypers (Wee Wee Dry)

because at the time i went to buy diapers, i couldnt find the packet in the size i want, plusss it was cheaper per piece when you calculate cost per package / no. of diapers. Used that for a couple of months. Somewhere in between I tried Pampers Comfort. Wooo, this one is so much different from Drypers. Its was really thin and light. But stopped using it only after 3 times when my boy kept experiencing leaks. The quality is bad and thin, although is good for the baby, is not good in absorbency.

Later me and hubby wanted to try other brand of diapers just to see if there is any better ones cause the Drypers diaper is not so user friendly in terms of design. Drypers uses a grip tape, which is celo-tape like. Place it wrongly and it can grip your baby’s thighs and sort of cut it, causing a thin red mark.

I bought a small pack of Huggies Dry to try. I absolutely love it. The design of the diapers itself is the best of all (almost similar to Pampers Comfort), plus to hell with the grip tape, it comes with Magic Tape. I dont know how to explain what a magic tape is. You can see by looking at the diaper sample that can be conveniently found in baby stores and supermarkets. The Magic Tape can attach and detach easily, unlike the grip tape which can be slightly difficult to detach as it sticks like cello tape.

So yes, Huggies Dry is my choice for now. I buy the jumbo pack. L size with 84 pieces in a pack. It costs around RM36.90 to RM37.90. The lower price i mentioned is when i can find offers, but thats the lowest i can get so far. Huggies Dry is btw cheaper than Drypers too.

I had to use Drypers on my recent Penang trip as I couldnt find any Huggies with L size in a medium pack. It sucks and it left two cut lines on my boy’s skin when we didnt tape it properly. *angry & sad* But its over now and back to Huggies Dry.

I am thinking of letting my boy use the training pants but that costs a bomb as it comes to about RM1 or more per piece, which is double the price of the diapers i use now. I’ll think about it. Maybe when my boy has started to walk independently. *smiles*

P/S: Sorry, all the photos i have to borrow off the net. Didnt manage to take pics of my own. Siti Nurhaliza, when you want to have babies ar ? If got, then come refer to this post for diapers ok ? hihihi.
